Another owl in the making
Half an hour in the sun with a standard bar on the saw and a quick sand with the grinder before collecting my youngest from play school. Had just enough time to sweep up the mess too.

A few on going pieces
Made a start on a little relief today, a fox, hare and owl totem.
Then got bored and started on an owl from an oak branch.
I don't know why but I always find carving in the round to be more enjoyable than relief carving.

Bird box making workshop
The final session of six half day workshops ended yesterday, working with local children from the traveller community. They built several boxes to suit a variety of different birds and decorated them to their own designs.
They are on sale in a number of local stores and the proceeds will go back into Sefton's Complementary Education's pot to help fund another great young enterprise project.

Boards, boards, boards
Finished off my last batch the other day and sold a dozen to a fantastic local eatery & gift shop, The Courtyard in Little Crosby.
Well worth a visit, they do great food and lovely cakes :)
