A few on going pieces

Made a start on a little relief today, a fox,hare and owl totem.
Then got bored and started on an owl from an oak branch.


I don't know why but I always find carving in the round to be more enjoyable than relief carving.

    I hope your interest is regained for the totem, looks lovely, but so does owl. Happy carving!

      Thanks Jennifer,
      The totem is one of those jobs that gets worked on in between other projects. A few more little bursts and it will be done!
      Carving the owl has been great fun, working with green oak is a real pleasure.
      Think I'll be doing a run of these while the weather's so good.
